Welcome to Ana’s Classroom

• Ana the founder of this site is a native Spanish speaker and qualified Spanish teacher.
• Our offices are based in North West London (UK) AnasClassroom offers private tuition for those interested in learning Spanish Grammar, Conversational Spanish and Spanish GCSE.
• All our Spanish tutors are native speaking graduates from prestigious Spanish universities with qualifications in teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. Many of them have a Masters degree in a Spanish discipline.
• Our tutors have been trained in the techniques of videoconferencing and in the use of all our educational materials
• All our tutors will adapt the complexity of the Spanish language taught to best satisfy the learning requirements of the student.
• Tutors are trained to motivate and inspire confidence in their students. An array of techniques and activities are used so that the student will master their conversation skills effectively whilst thoroughly enjoying their learning experience.

SPANISH COURSE SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

• Direct student contact and encouragement: At Ana’s Classroom all Spanish lessons are designed around direct student tutor contact so as to further encourage the student’s motivation and desire to communicate in Spanish.
• Exploration and understanding: The student will discover and explore the meaning of words based on his or her immediate understanding and will then gradually expand their knowledge of the Spanish language.
• Experience of real life situations: At Ana’s Classroom our teaching approach and course materials are based on real life Spanish situations with each session immersing the student in Spanish culture. Each lesson topic is fully illustrated with authentic material to stimulate both comment and Spanish conversation skills.
• Acquisition of different learning strategies: At Ana’s Classroom the student is encouraged to use different learning strategies so as to acquire a good command of the Spanish language. Students will be taught and encouraged to make use of memory, word association and visualisation techniques and skills so as to make oral statements that can be shared with their Spanish tutor.
• Emphasis on oral practice: At Ana’s Classroom special emphasis is given to oral practice, gradually enabling the student to elaborate his or her own statements and improve pronunciation, accent and intonation.
• Increased vocabulary and reading skills: At Ana’s Classroom teaching material will increasingly strengthen the student’s reading ability and understanding of written Spanish texts.
