Here are revising the uses of the 4 most common Spanish prepositions A, EN, DE, CON

A (To)

CON (with)

DE (from and of)

EN (at, in, on, by)

1. Dirección (Direction, to )
Luis va a la oficina

2. Tiempo (Time, at)
A las dos salgo de clase


CON (with)
1. Compañía (Company, with)
Estoy con Maria en el cine

2. Instrumento (Instrument, with)

Toca musica clasica con la guitarra.

1. Procedencia (From)
Pepe viene de clase
Luis es de España

2. Tiempo (Time, of)

Que hora es? Son las dos de la tarde

3. Propiedad (Property,of)
El libro de español es de Georgina

4. Materia (Material,of)
La mesa es de madera.

1. Lugar donde se esta (Place )
Estamos en Barcelona por cinco días.

2. Dentro de (Inside)
Las llaves están en mi bolso

3. Medio de transporte (Means of transport)
Voy a clase en metro

4. Tiempo (Time)
En verano hace calor en Madrid
